| Job Description |
Candidates must be proficient in the following areas:
- Maintenance of electronic & pneumatic instrumentation and control equipment associated with Gas Turbines, HRSGs, Steam Turbines, Multi-Effect Desalination plant and associated auxiliaries (including fault-finding and troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with ALSPA P320, Egatrol (ABB ADVANT), and various PLCs (ablity to troubleshoot and identify technical problems).
- Performing preventive as well as breakdown maintenance tasks.
- Flexibility in working to meet operational and working requirements.
- Provide support to other Departments as required and have the ability to work to meet deadlines, in a safe and consistant manner.
- Maintenance of analytical and turbosupervisory equipment.

| Knowledge and Skills |
- A prudent approach to safety at work.
- Good knowledge of the working principles of pressure flow and temperature instruments, pneumatic control valve actuators, and analytical / turbosupervisory equipment.
- Good knowledge of how to calibrate different field instruments, understand failure modes and have the necessary skills for troubleshooting where required.
- Thorough understanding of the sensitivities of working on plant and systems that are in operation and where availability of the generating units is an important commercial objective.
- Ability to interpret drawing such as P&ID, logic drawings, and interconnection drawings.
- Ability to safely use a range of hand tools.
- Ability to use test equipment and instrumentation test bench and associated software.
- Good knowledge of permit to work (PTW) system.
- Good knowledge of CMMS such as Maximo.
- Ability to work on PLCs and DCS will be considered as an added advantage.
- General IT related skills, particularly in MS Office.

| Experience |
A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably on Combined Cycle Power Plant, is required.
|
| Qualification |
The candidate is expected to have academic qualifications (two years post high school) to Diploma level in Instrumentation and Control.
