| Profile of Job |
Will work in a multicultural team of Technicians within a discipline of Mechanical Maintenance and will carry out to organise the support services required to perform the plant maintenance function in maintenance discipline. It requires the supervision of welders, machinists, and maintain the plant workshop facilities, it also requires the supervision of contractors hired for different specialized functions like scaffolding, HVAC, Insulation & cladding, civil work, manpower supplies for house keeping & janitorial work etc.
The position holder should have a detailed understanding and practical experience of the plant maintenance support services requirement and controls over contractors, additional knowledge of modern combined cycle gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment will be prefered. |
| Knowledge and Skills |
Good engineering foundation and practical knowledge of basic engineering & maintenance concepts
A good understanding of the skills required by Technicians to undertake quality maintenance activities.
Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems, safety rules and associated legislation
Organising spares, tools and equipment to carry out maintenance activities
Ability to carry out duties with minimum supervision.
Ability to perform fault diagnosis, work planning and management
Good command of the English language
Knowledge of a computerised maintenance management tool like Maximo |
| Experience |
Previous employment will have provided a minimum of 5 years experience at a similar level in power station Maintenance, or in a similar industrial environment.

| Qualification |
An accredited Engineering diploma.
