Fujairah Asia Power Company

Along with the task ahead of meeting the demands of producing Electricity & Water for the Northern Emirates, FAPCO and F2 O & M together are aiming to build a stronger bond with the citizens of the area by developing and pursuing opportunities to support community needs. To accomplish this goal, FAPCO and F2 O & M Company have developed their Social and Environmental Involvement Committee. In acceptance of their civic responsibility, this Committee, chaired by Ms. Kholoud Al Hefaity of F2 O & M Company, is tasked with seeking and discovering opportunities to improve community relations for the benefit of the community by FAPCO and F2 O & M in all possible ways and actively promoting continuing environmental improvement. The Committee has begun actively meeting with community and municipality leaders in the Fujairah, Kalba, Khor Fakkan and Qidfa, as well as local schools, hospitals, and other civic organizations throughout the area.

“Students from Higher Colleges of Technology, Fujairah visited Fujairah F2 power and water plant on 15th March 2011”.

“Students from Raymond International – Syracuse University visited Fujairah F2 power and water plant on 14th June 2011 as part of their Internship/Work placement”.

“An Emirati student from Carlton University Ottawa, Canada is receiving the certification from Plant General Manager for completing his three months technical training in summer 2011 at Fujairah F2 power and water plant”.

“Social and Environment Committee of Fujairah F2 power and water plant sponsored “Iftar” during Ramadan with coordination of Red Crescent, Fujairah from 21-30 August 2011.

“Social and Environment Committee of Fujairah F2 power and water plant received an appreciation trophy for being the diamond sponsor of the “Clean up UAE campaign” organized by Fujairah municipality in December 2011”.
